Breathe to live

In the Germanic tradition Ondine is a beautiful water nymph, who lost his immortality because he fell in love with a man whom she had a son. Over the years, the aging and the nymph her man, no longer in love, betrayed her. Ondine But one day she saw him as he slept next to the new lover, woke him and gave him the curse: "Awake thou hast sworn allegiance to all of your breaths. Amen.'ll Stay awake as long as you continue to live, but in when you fall asleep you will lose the ability to breathe. " And so it was.
Congenital central hypoventilation syndrome (Ondine syndrome or) is a disorder of breathing control independently. Patients with CCHS (Congenital Central hypoventilation syndrome) are not capable of breathing spontaneously during sleep, but to survive, they need to use devices mechanical ventilation.
Despite the great strides that have identified the gene responsible for CCHS, even today there is no therapy that can "cure" the syndrome. As with any rare disease plays a key role in the research, recently mistreated by financial Tremonti and generally opposed by economists cold, and instead essential to human progress. The
AISICC (Italian Association for Congenital central hypoventilation syndrome), in collaboration with the Alpine Group Dolzago and the patronage of the City, organized on 19-20 June "... breathe ... to live" , a two-day festival for charity and awareness on the syndrome at the Parco degli Alpini.
The program revolves around the walk on Saturday, leaving at 18 from the parking lot side of the City. This is obviously an opportunity to espouse the cause by sharing athletic effort, and therefore non-competitive sporting event. The competition often brings out the more negative sides of the individual, ideally by posting the social fabric in which it is set to fight the ultimate goal of winning and having a good dose of cynicism.
The evening then continues with the dance performance, implemented some measures aimed at raising awareness about the syndrome. On Sundays this space for children, with entertainment and fashion show, with chusura by Nomads of the cover band "The Herons Blacks".
